Center Academy Celebrates Mandarin Campus Grand Opening

Jacksonville, Florida – On Friday, August 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., Center Academy in Mandarin had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its new campus location at 10679 Old St. Augustine Road. Parents, students, staff and community members were in attendance and wore decorative hard hats for the occasion. Cake was served in the new multipurpose room.

Center Academy first opened a campus in Mandarin in 1996 and moved to the new, larger campus in time for the start of the 2014-15 school year. The newly renovated facility includes expanded indoor space and outdoor recreational areas. Director of Center Academy, Stephanie Thompson reported, “Our staff and families are thrilled when they tour the new space and see all the wonderful opportunities it will afford our students.”

Center Academy, founded in 1968, is a NIPSA and SACS accredited private school for students in grades 4 through 12 and focuses on each student’s individual needs. Center Academy provides students with a learning environment that facilitates the development of self-confidence, motivation, academic skills, and gives students the opportunity to achieve success in life.

The school accepts McKay and Step-Up scholarships. Center Academy also has Jacksonville area campuses in Orange Park and at St. Johns Bluff Road.
