Center Academy Granted Membership in Georgia Independent School Association

As President of the Georgia Independent School Association, it is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that Center Academy has been approved for membership with the Georgia Independent School Association.  Representing over 74,700 students within 157 member schools, GISA is one of the largest associations of independent schools in the Southeast.  Your quest to lay an enduring foundation for achievement and your commitment to enrich all aspects of the independent school education experience are unmistakable; it is GISA’s distinct privilege to include Center Academy within our membership.

Membership within the Georgia Independent School Association provides your school a wealth of professional development opportunities throughout the year.  We host an Annual Conference for all GISA educators in the fall, a Development Conference, a Heads of School Conference, and a variety of meaningful workshops, all of which grant our participants numerous occasions to network and engage with other Georgia Independent School educators.  GISA provides coordination, support, and administration of all interscholastic activities, both academic and athletic, for our member schools, conscientiously ensuring level fields of competition.  We serve as a flagship to bolster interconnectedness amongst our member schools, while purposefully protecting each school’s independence and unique mission.

Acting as advocates for the interests of GISA constituents, Georgia Independent School Association monitors and analyzes pertinent legislation from both the Georgia Legislature and federal entities and communicates regularly with our membership.  GISA also provides timely updates on any educational matters from SAIS, CAPE, and NAIS.  We seek to objectively advise, guide, and counsel our member schools across any and all issues relevant to your school and independent education.

Again, and on behalf of the rest of the GISA staff, I am delighted to welcome your membership with the Georgia Independent School Association.  I am confident that you will find our partnership professionally rewarding and educationally enriching. We thank you for your faithful dedication to excellence in independent school education, and look forward to many opportunities to enhance your experience as a GISA member school.

With Appreciation,

Jeff Jackson, Ed.D. – President
