Teacher Spotlight – Vince Brady
Say hello to Vince Brady, who hails from England and has been teaching for 36 years – 11 of them with Center Academy. Mr. Brady teaches 11th and 12th grade math at the Riverview Campus. He chose to pursue a teaching role at Center Academy in an effort to finish his career “on a high”!
“Although I enjoy teaching in groups, what sets Center Academy apart from other schools is that it allows me lots of individual teaching time with each student,” said Mr. Brady. “Teaching math and science is both practical and academic.”
Mr. Brady is married to Barbara Brady, who is a volunteer teacher at Center Academy. They have four adult children, two of whom are teachers in the UK. In his spare time, Mr. Brady enjoys reading about politics and biographies. If he had a chance, he would have liked to meet President Nixon, and discuss why Watergate happened.
The secret to Mr. Brady’s success is determination and a “never-give-up” attitude. He passionately wants his students to succeed. He was labeled “a failure” at school, he doesn’t want this to happen to his kids.
Thank you so much, Vince Brady, for sharing a little about yourself, and being featured in this month’s spotlight!
