Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Catherine Taylor is an educator with over 17 years of experience in public and private schools. She has served as a teacher, curriculum specialist, and principal, and brings a deep understanding of the educational process from all angles. Ms. Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Social Science from the University of North Florida, and later earned a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University.
