Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Mr. Dan Curry has more than 25 years of educational leadership experience in both public and private schools. He has served as a coach, teacher, principal and superintendent, leading schools in California, Europe, and the Middle East. Mr. Curry proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1998, attaining the rank of Captain while serving throughout Europe and the Middle East. He is deeply committed to creating a caring, compassionate and academically strong school environment where students feel supported and families feel valued. Mr. Curry has his BS from the U.S. Air Force Academy and his MS in Educational Administration from National University.
