Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Kathy Spangler obtained her undergraduate in education at Pensacola Christian College and earned her Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Educational Administration and Supervision. She has served in the field of education for 30 years in the private sector as an educator, instructional coach, facilitator of leadership teams, coordinator of professional development and principal. Ms. Spangler has also provided leadership in the development of school improvement, strategic planning and accreditation. She has served on Cognia Accreditation teams and is committed to providing excellence in education.
