Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Natalie Mendoza has worked as an educator for over 18 years in public school, private school, and homeschool education. Previously a classroom teacher, intervention teacher, private tutor, and homeschool evaluator, she now serves as Curriculum Coordinator for Center Academy. Mrs. Mendoza graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education before receiving a Master of Arts in Reading Education K-12 at the University of South Florida.
