Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Mrs. Mirville has over 12 years of experience as a special education teacher, serving students in grades Pre-K through 12 in the public-school setting. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Education focusing on specific learning disabilities from the University of Central Florida. Mrs. Mirville later earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of South Florida and her ESOL endorsement.
