Center Academy began in 1968 with the vision of its founder, Dr. Mack Hicks, who saw the need for a specialized, full-day school for students who were falling through the cracks in traditional schools.
Mr. Hicks comes to us with more than 15 years of experience in staff administration and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He has worked with the Department of Children and Families in Florida and has a background in sales and marketing. Mr. Hicks has functioned as Vice President of Operations, Regional Director, and Director of the Clearwater, Jacksonville, Tampa, Palm Harbor, and Lutz Center Academies.
